Final Whistle on Hate

Client: New England Revolution

The New England Revolution and Chelsea Football Club came together for a friendly charity match in response to the attack on the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh that killed 11 people.

The game raised an estimated $4 million for organizations fighting anti-Semitism and discrimination across the world. Read more via CNN.

Challenge: Source, design, produce and deliver a visually impactful item for a high-profile anti-hate campaign game called Final Whistle on Hate in under three weeks.

Solution: We produced 26,000 20”x30” individually packaged hand-held flags for each fan in attendance.

Retro Success

Client: Los Angeles Galaxy

Challenge: Create a fully custom retro item taking the fan experience to the next level for Galaxy Throwback Night.

Solution: This bag met the updated stadium compliance guidelines and fulfilled all of the requested elements of a retro themed idea. The fanny pack craze is back and largely popular with millennials, so this was a great way to tie the program to current fashion trends.

Red Card Against Bullying

Client: New England Revolution

In partnership with the Santander Bank and Playworks, the New England Revolution launched their #RedCardAgainstBullying campaign to encourage positive play environments that support inclusivity and eliminate bullying in schools.

To show support, all 16,236 fans in attendance held up the anti-bullying Red Card available at every seat during the 27th minute of the match, symbolizing the 27 percent of Boston children who reported being bullied during the 2018 school year. Over the remainder of the season, every Revolution assist also earns a donation of $1,000 from Santander to the New England Chapter of Playworks.

Challenge: Create a heartfelt and exciting activation to garner attention during the #RedCardAgainstBullying match for over 16,000 home fans.

Solution: Every fan discovered an 11x17 poster placed at their seat in addition to a pack of two #RedCardAgainstBullying silicone friendship bracelets.

Fans were given two bracelets - one to keep, and one to give away to a friend, family member, or stranger to spread the anti-bullying message outside of stadium walls.

Foam Flag Series

Client: Chicago Fire

Challenge: Develop a stadium safe flag to allow fans at Soldier Field to use flags in compliance with stadium guidelines.

Solution: The Promotions Dept. team designed and produced the world’s first stadium-safe handheld flagpole that supports the weight of a traditional polyester flag without hard plastic parts or sharp edges.

Our newly invented flag was a huge success and has become a core giveaway in Chicago Fire’s promotional schedule; so far, it has been used to launch a new crest, showcase a local independent artists’ work, embrace LGBTQ+ communities, and highlight a partner for a fan appreciation day.

Over 50,000 flags have been produced since its conception in early 2021 and The Promotions Dept. now has a US patent pending on a stadium-safe waving device.
